Welcome.
Many of you have been in this community for a long time, but whether you’ve just joined or you’ve been a member since day one, this is your first impression of the new DeviantArt.
Change is not something that we take lightly, because it affects our collective identity. It was important for us to define who we are and what we’re made of at our core before we changed anything. We all have our own understanding of what that means, but the process of getting that core story down on paper took almost a year.
The result is “Bleed and Breed Art.&

Let's Talk about Radical Feminists
So generally I think radical feminists are the boogey man of feminism. Everyone talks about them like they live on every street, but I hadn't really seen any.
UNTIL NOW.
I won't link to the site because honestly, that's giving her more page views. But I found this gem of an article, which you can imagine has all kinds of intellectual-- ahaha, who am I kidding, it's a rant she spewed from the deepest pits of her colon.
Drag is The Gender Version of Blackface, but…
Because nothing says "enlightened" like comparing an empowering gender identity/performance to systematic oppression employed by white people to mock people of color, who had bei
I saw this photo and tumblr and it makes so much sense to me. Just look at it, take it in and let me know your thoughts about it: http://dallasharder.tumblr.com/post/42313758766/word
I'm not necessarily known for being an angel. And a lot of people easily judge me for it. To me it's so interesting that people will take their time to put you down on something. Everything I do only comes to harm of myself, no one else. I know what I'm doing and I'm happier than I have ever been yet there's still people who feel the need to express their disgust. And no one is perfect so really, humans in any situation shouldn't be judging so harshly. Just thin
HELLO FRIENDS.
My eviction date's in less than 3 weeks so I imagine you have an idea of how crazy things have been the past few days.
GO AWAY DEADLINES, NOBODY LIKES YOU.
Luckily I've just managed to put a deposit down on an affordable place c: so finger's crossed that it works out >u< hnngh.
IF NOT I'M JUST GONNA LIVE IN A BOX BECAUSE I FOUND A PLACE THAT SUPPLIES ME WITH FREE BOXES AND THEY'RE DEAD GOOD BOXES AND THAT.
I used to like decorating boxes as houses as a kid,
when finished I'd celebrate by closing myself up inside of them
and then feel incredibly disappointed that it was too dark to see my drawn on furniture.
ANGRY: Just read a bunch of articles about the supposed discovery of a gay caveman. I have no doubt that gay cavemen existed, but the reasoning for thinking that this particular skeleton was gay ("a homosexual or a transvestite" were the only possible conclusions that these articles came to) is that the skeleton was biologically male, but buried in a way that we have only previously found females buried.
I hate to break it to these scientists, but not all cultures in history have viewed sexuality as having anything to do with gender stereotypes. Many cultures throughout history have accepted homosexual behaviors as the norm, without our cult
Don't take this the wrong way... by xbooshbabyx, journal
Don't take this the wrong way...
....But I'm kind of obsessed with naked ladies.....
.
I knew you'd take it the wrong way you dirty little skets!!!!!
What I really mean is I think the female form is absolutely mesmerizing, and I'v found myself drawing it a lot... in good taste mind you.
So don't assume I'm more lesbian than you know if you start seeing lots of drawings of sexy semi-naked ladies on my profile soon, none of it is to degrade women, or turn people on.... :giggle:
Its all about what I find beautiful, because that is what my art has always been about from that start :D
(And you thought I was joking when I said I was being completely open and honest nowadays

recap, so SPOILERS
Go away if you haven't seen it and don't want to be spoilered.
I'm only going to say four things.
1) Thank god Quinn's brain fever finally broke so she can cool off her brainpan and chill the fuck out now. Please be for real. STOP BEING CRAZY, CRAZY!
2) I actually approve of this new blend of the Troubletones and the Nude Erections. That the Troubletones get to sing one song per competition. It works. It makes sense. Now I wonder how many competitions it's going to last for. My guess is one.
3) All season (and for the latter part of last season) I've been dreading each episode. I'm just convinced it's going to be a hor

a winter in France - long due blogpost
I spent the past few days organizing the six rolls of films I brought with me from my stay as an au pair in France earlier this year. It took me a long time, but I have finally put them all together in one post along with thoughts and writings and explanations, and most of all a lot of feelings.

I remember one day when I had just arrived, I went into town together with my host mum
and had to wait for her while she had an appointment. I went into a café, had a coffee,
